This program intends to ensure and improve the quality of life of older persons through to provide basic necessary kit, Psychological support and Provision of information and health education to the public for older persons.
We are implementing the program at Erode district among elders stay at Slum and road sides with collaboration of SMILE Trust, Germany. Through this program for their basic needs are fulfilled to distribute Mat, two set of Bed sheet, two set of dress, Towels, Plate and Tumblers. It helps to prevent from hot, rain and cold. It makes their life comfortable and safe. During the programe we provide awareness to nearby people on importance of care and support and health service on elders.
Through this Program Pasumai Ulagam helped 90 elders among 3 months. In which 66 is Female and 24 is Male. They are belongs to underprivileged community and the old people are stay in their hut and they expecting neighbors for their daily food. 5 are stay at nearby temple and did their daily cleaning activity. Temple in charge provides food to them. 8 are physically challenged in which 2 deaf, 1 dumb, 3 blind.
